We are proud to share that our project, Riverside, has won the LOOP Design Awards 2024 category.

The 2024 edition attracted a remarkable number of participants, with entries from 54 countries and more than 500 entries.

We see this award as an encouragement to continue directing our attention not only to the substance of architecture and its meaning, but also to the contribution we can make as architects to addressing the challenges of climate change.

We know that, as architects, we can play a more prominent and involved role in creating not only more beautiful buildings, but also more just and sustainable ones.

The Riverside building embraced the challenge of restoring a structure that was more than 20 years old.

The main aim of the refurbishment was to reuse and revitalize the existing structure, avoiding demolition and starting again. In this way, it was possible to maintain more than 90% of the original structure, including beams, columns and slabs, and 75% of the original core, resulting in a built-in carbon saving, which is in line with the sustainable construction practices that guided the project.

We thank everyone who was part of this journey and congratulate all the winners!
